Kane Waselenchuk vs Cliff Swain

Game One - Battle of the young and experienced champions here. Swain and Waselenchuk come out firing exchanging side outs and but points far and few at 2-2. Kane changes things up and starts serving some wicked Z serves to the back right corner which shoot out parallel to the back wall jumping up 6-2. Both players exchange side outs before Waselenchuk jumps out and takes game one 11-3. Game Two - Waselenchuk does an amazing forehand shot on his knees but Swain gets to it and puts it away for a side out and a 3-0 lead. The sound of the ball from both players is like a sonic boom on serve and during the rallies. Swain and Waselenchuk are still trading side outs and making unbelievable shots on the court. Kill ... Re-kill ... Kill ... Re-kill ! Swain is up 9-5 serving huge to Waselenchuk's backhand forcing a skip from to go up 10-5. Waselenchuk hits an amazing backhand for side out taking away match point. Swain comes up with a diving get in the front corner for serve and then hits a shoulder high backhand kill for game two 11-5Game Three - Swain jumps up 4-0 with some great shots considering some controversial calls from the ref which neither player likes. Waselenchuk gets into a skipping funk and Swain kills some pinch shots in the front left to go up 8-0. Waselenchuk seems to have pulled something and ask for an injury timeout. Waselenchuk comes back with what seems to be a bum right leg and is unable to retrieve any of the passes and Swain takes game three 11-0. Waselenchuk motions to the ref he can't continue giving Swain the victory and into the Finals against Beltran.

Semifinal Match
Jason Mannino vs Alvaro Beltran

Game One - Maninno skips some shots into the ground giving Beltran an early lead of 4-2 while each player feels the other out in the beginning of the game. Maninno starts his diving frenzy early in the first game getting some shots but Beltran seems to be putting them away for a 6-3 lead. Maninno hits a diving forehand kill that gets the crowd on its feet but skips a backhand on the side out to give Beltran another chance at some extra points for a 8-5 lead. Both players continue to change side outs and Beltran takes an 11-5 win in game one.

Game Two - Beltran starts out with some dominating backhand shots to jump up but Maninno comes back with some impressive cross court passes. Tied at 5-5 Maninno does an amazing 180 spin from his backhand to his forehand for a kill on the front corner. Both players continue to change side outs but neither getting points from the rallies. Beltran hits a couple forehand rollouts to go up 7-5. Beltran pulls out his own Maninno moves and dives four times on both sides before Maninno does a passing shot to Beltran's backhand. Maninno and Beltran exchange some more points with Maninno serving at 7-10. Beltran gets the serve back and Maninno pushes the ball into the floor giving Beltran an 11-7 win.Game Three - Maninno and Beltran start out the third a mirrored image to the first two games. Each player exchanging points and side outs with Maninno serving at 3-4. Jason seems frustrated trying to figure out something to keep Beltran out of the box. Maninno starts shooting down the line and cross courts to jump up 8-4 and force Beltran to take a time out to get his game plan back. Beltran starts leaving up the backhand shots he was rolling out earlier setting up Maninno for some easy forehand kills for 9-4. Maninno finishes strong in game three 11-6Game Four - Beltran jumps up quickly 8-3 before Maninno gets a couple points to make it 8-5. Beltran gets one more point to put pressure on Maninno to do something quickly. Maninno hits a backhand bottom board to get the serve back at 5-9 but Beltran hits a shoulder high backhand to get the serve back. Beltran hits another shoulder high backhand to make it 10-5. Beltran skips the next several shots to give Maninno a 7-10 chance to force a tiebreak. Beltran comes right back with a backhand pinch to give himself another chance at match point. Beltran sets up for a backhand in the back corner but leaves the ball short for a side out. Maninno rolls out the next shot and Beltran skips the next putting Jason right back in the game at 9-10. Side out back to Beltran who cracks out the final point for the match winning 11-9.

Men's Pro Final Match
Cliff Swain vs Alvaro Beltran

Game 1 - Swain wins 12-10 (**but we missed it ... not on the tape). Game 2 - Swain jumps up 4-0 but each player is unhappy with the referee's call on several plays. But after a run of points Swain takes game two 11-3. Game 3 - Swain jumps up in points but Beltran using a lob seve away from the side wall forces some skipped balls to bring it back to 4-4. Alvaro dives to the front left corner to re-kill to serve at 10-6. Beltran hits another down the line shot after a Swain dive to win game three 11-6. Game 4 - This game seems to be all Swain jumping up 9-2. Ace serve makes it 10-2. After a long rally of ceiling balls, passes and gets Beltran skips the point to give Swain the Stockton Pro Am title 11-3.
