Semifinal Match
Kane Waselenchuk vs Alvaro Beltran |
Cat# MIL-2 |
| Kane came out lethargic the first
game and Beltran took full advantage of it, killing the ball with
ease and winning game one 11-3. Waselenchuk took advantage of the
break between games to regroup and find the much-needed motivation
to turn on his game. A different Kane showed up the next three games
as he dominated center court and turned on some blistering serves.
These two players have mutual respect for each other and overturned
a few calls. They also had some fun: with Alvaro serving Kane moved
back and forth from the forehand to backhand side of the court anticipating
Alvaro’s serve which Kane eventually guessed right and ripped
a backhand down the kill. Both players smiled and the fans loved it.
Kane moves on to play Swain in his fourth final this season (3), 1,3,9.

The final was all Kane as he lit
up the court with some great drive serves to both sides. Cliff never
got his serve going as he had done in previous matches. Kane was just
too much today finishing strong 11-4,12-10,11-0 to capture his fourth
tour victory this season and gain some added momentum going into the
US OPEN in November.
